Tommy Rego was brought into the league as one of two managers with the blessing of Skip Bettencourt. Purported to be a happy guy, Skip said he would thrive in the newly formed Bush League Division. Slept on by most of the league after the draft and during the regular season, Jackmerius Tacktheritrix finished the season strong, grabbing a first round bye into the playoffs. However, after that week off, Tommy's team cooled off and he finished the season 4th.
Bush League Division Record: 9-7
Mike Caruso once served with the Commissioner in the United States Marine Corps. After hearing about the formation of the Bush League Division, MikeC wanted in. He quickly made a name for himself with forward thinking trade offers. He was extremely vocal about his hatred for the one year trial of the "Trade Committee". After a solid regular season, his team let him down in the playoffs. My prediction is that this self proclaimed "deadhead" will be back in contention in 2023.
Bush League Division Record: 9-7
Mike Stephens experienced not only his first season in the TCT last year, but his first season in fantasy football ever. The leader of the Soggy Bottom Boys came into the draft surprisingly prepared. He drafted a solid team. And in his rookie season almost led his team to a first round bye in the playoffs. After just a slight taste of fantasy success, Mike is ready to improve on his initial success in 2023.
Bush League Division Record: 9-7
Mike Quinn was the second guy Skip Bettencourt brought into the fold in 2022. After a questionable draft, Mike was able to pull off multiple underdog wins. Not to be slept on, True Value made a push for the playoffs, but fell just short in his first year in the league. Will 2023 be the year of True Value? Maybe. Ask Mike yourself at True Value. Conveniently located on the Fairhaven/New Bedford bridge (143 Popes Island), he will help you with all your hardware and marine supply needs.
Bush League Division Record: 8-8
Tom "Misterfive" Sinko is the second member of Risky Biz to join the TCT. An entertaining and exciting character, his debut season was lackluster. With a full season in the TCT behind him, Tom looks to turn it around in 2023. If you're looking to make your earholes happy, check out his music here.
Bush League Division Record: 7-9
Dario Candelaria also served with the Commissioner in the United States Marine Corps. A dedicated fan of the podcast first, Dario joined the league after hearing about the Bush League expansion division. Dario quickly gained the love of the entire TCT universe with his participation on the podcast and even traveling from his home in Pennsylvania to attend the Live Draft Order Party. All that love couldn't help his team though. His record seemed to get worse and worse with every team name change. Finally settling on a facepalm emoji, Cande seemed to finally accept his fate. He looks to turn it around in 2023. At this point, he can only get better.
Bush League Division Record: 3-13
The Whole Damn Show, KBo, Kevin Botelho exploded into the TCT universe in 2022 as a frequent caller of the Commissioner's Desk Podcast. After badgering the Commissioner endlessly, even storming the studio one episode, KBo was given the last spot in the newly formed Bush League Division. After a rough start, Ballz Deep became a ghost ship. Where did the loud and boisterous KBo go? Some say he was too busy with his career as a professional entertainer to give the league his time. Others say he was all bark no bite. The Commissioner believes there's more to it than just those simple answers. Stay tuned for a future offseason episode of the Commissioner's Desk Podcast on the disappearance of the Whole Damn Show...
Bush League Division Record: 4-12
When Kenny Almeida unexpectedly retired before the start of the 2022 season, Manager James Souza stepped in. Souza was fortunate to skip the Bush League completely in his first season of the TCT. After a very very very rough start (6 losses in a row), Souza was able to turn it around and actually make a push for the playoffs. He fell just short and avoided the Toilet Bowl. That wasn't enough though. F*** the Democrats found themselves getting flushed to the Bush League Division. Some say this loud and outspoken conservative deserves to start at the bottom. To those haters Souza says this blue collar worker isn't afraid to grab himself by the bootstraps and earn his place in the TCT.
Backroom Division Record: 7-9
Kevin joined the league for the initial season of the Champion's Division. The Last Mohican could not seem to figure it out, finishing in the bottom half of the division for the first four seasons. After a 9th place finish in 2018, Kevin was dropped down to the Backroom Division. The Last Mohican seemed to find the answer to their problems in 2020, winning the Backroom Division championship. Kevin elected to hold his team down in the division to defend the belt for another season. This proved to be a mistake. In 2022 Kevin found himself getting flushed down to the Bush League Division. Last Mohican is a cautionary story to all those who elect to defend the title. We'll see what 2023 holds for this former champ. Kevin will be the first TCT Manager to play in all 3 Divisions.
TCT Champion's Division Record: 23-29
Backroom Division Record: 29-27
2020 Champion
Mux joined the league for the 2021 season in the Backroom Division and appeared to be a contender for Rookie of the Year. After a hot start, his team cooled down and dropped him all the way down to the Toilet Bowl. The 2022 season actually got worse for Mux and his team F.U.L.B. For the second year in a row he found himself in the Toilet Bowl, losing to Kevin and becoming the Toilet Bowl Champ. Now a member of the Bush League, Mux will have to earn his way back to the Backroom to attempt to silence his rival, Lauren Bettencourt.
Backroom Division Record: 12-18
Rival: Manager Lauren Bettencourt
