BackRoom Division

Commissioner's Note:  Mux.  What is there to say about this guy?  Once a promising rookie, he went two consecutive seasons with a trip to the toilet bowl.  He was flushed down to the Bush League Division where he actually found success.  After one season he's back in the Backroom with his rival, Lauren.  Maybe he has some momentum coming back up.  I guess we'll see.

Bush League Division Record:  11-5

Commissioner's Note:  Steve was a last minute addition to the league when it all started in 2015.  I knew he would fit in great when he showed up with an old fantasy football magazine, his readers, and a flashlight to see in the Tavern.  Always competitive, Steve has become a seasonal contender in the Backroom.  I question his current commitment to the craft.  Chace, his son, drafted his team this year and he has removed himself from the division chat.

TCT Champion's Division Record:  48-44

Backroom Division Record:  28-20

 Commissioner's Note:  Oldham is a 20+ year fantasy football veteran who was added to the league in 2022 as part of the new Bush League expansion.  Known for his ability to make a deal, he was able to make some key trades that moved him up a division when the season was over.  He had another solid showing the following season.  Last year was a down year.  I think Jared has what it takes to win again and move up.  He's on my radar.

Backroom Division Record:  19-13

Bush League Division Record:  11-5

Commissioner's Note:  Lauren, Lauren, Lauren.  She was the first female introduced to the league in 2018 with the new Backroom Division.  It was her first season of fantasy football ever.  It did not go well.  She has learned a lot since then and has become a staple in the Backroom Division.  She seems to win just as much as she loses.  She is very quick to temper.  Use caution when texting in the division chat.

Backroom Division Record:  44-57

Commissioner's Note:  Dave entered the league during the very first season back in 2015.  He is known for off the wall draft picks and a team that will start off hot and cool down toward playoff time.  He seems to do just enough to keep him from getting flushed.  I suspect it's that Diamond Dave Vegas luck.

Backroom Division Record:  24-18

Commissioner's Note:  Downey is a founding member of the original season back in 2015.  He talks a lot, but backs it up.  He's a yearly threat to the title and when he's winning, he'll let you know it.  Nothing made me happier than dragging him down to the Backroom Division with me.  Now if I could only leave him here on my way back up...

2019 Champion

Commissioner's Note:  Timmy joined the league in 2017 and I was immediately impressed.   He went back to back seasons finishing 3rd and after a down year, won the championship in 2021.  He slid after that, doing a losing stint in the Backroom and ended up in the Bush League.  He then won the Bush League title with little trouble and is now back in the Backroom with me.  He's always one to watch.

2024 Bush League Champion

Commissioner's Note:  I've literally gone to war with Caruso.  However, back here in the states, we are fantasy football enemies.  I still don't know what I've done to this guy, but he seems to hate my efforts as Commissioner.  I think it stems from the critiques of the ESPN fantasy league that he runs.  He is a formitable manager and has proven himself in this league.  He may be destined for the Champion's Division if I don't get in his way.

Backroom Division Record:  Rookie

Bush League Division Record:  28-20

Commissioner's Note:  Mike joined the league in 2018 as part of the first group of managers for the Backroom Division.  He had a few competitive seasons before finally breaking through the playoff wall and winning the Backroom Division Championship in 2022.  This is where Mike made a fatal error.  He decided to stay in the Backroom Division and defend the title.  He lost the very next season and found himself in the Bush League Division.  He seems to be back to his winning ways.
