TCT Champion's Division

Commissioner's Note:  Crit was the last manager to join the TCT back in 2018 with the addition of the Backroom Division.  He's proven to be more than capable of becoming a champion through extensive draft research and in-season savvy.  He was the first manager to win two divisions and is the only other two time TCT Champion.

2019 Champion and 2024 Champion

Backroom Division Record:  18-9

2021 Champion

Commissioner's Note:  My first podcast co-host joined the TCT in 2018 as the first manager selected for the Backroom Division.  He became the first Backroom Champion, but hasn't won a title since moving up to the Champion's Division.  He is a 3 time runner-up, which is definitely worth noting.  Living on the west coast during football season gives him a slight advantage once waivers go live.

2018 Champion

Commissioner's Note:  Dan was an inaugural member of the Backroom Division.  He did not impress me his rookie campaign but has more than made up for that since.  He is both a former Backroom Champion and TCT Champion.  Bigger than his brother, Nick Downey, he is a lot more laid back.  This kind of makes him scarier.

2023 Champion

Backroom Division Record:  13-12-1

2019 Champion

 Commissioner's Note:  Anthony is another Backroom Division founding manager.  He was extremely successful in the Backroom, but couldn't do enough in the playoffs to move up until 2021.  In 2022 he took home the TCT Championship.  He is a perennial contender and loves to stir the pot in the group chats.

TCT Champion's Division Record:  25-25

2022 Champion

Backroom Division Record:  34-19

Commissioner's Note:  Eddy got his start in the Bush League Division back in 2022.  I saw the potential instantly, openly stating it on the podcast.  He finished that year in the finals, falling in controversial fashion to Josh Fortin.  This only propelled him to win the Backroom Championship the very next year.  He earned his spot in the Champion's Division.

2023 Champion

Bush League Division Record:  10-7

Commissioner's Note:  Chris is an enigma in this league.  He was part of the original group of managers that formed the first division.  He reached the peak and became TCT Champion, but has also jettisoned off the top of the mountain.  He's a wild card who has been knocked down to the Backroom but found enough success to come back up.  Does he belong in the Champion's Division?  He must, right?  He's here.

2017 Champion

Backroom Division Record:  12-19

Commissioner's Note:  Bob Simmons aka B dot Sims aka Risk aka Bob Awesome joined the league in 2019 as a late addition to the Backroom Division.  Bob always seems to do enough to be competitive.  It's only a matter of time before he wins a championship.  His biggest issue is going to be the competition he faces in his current division.  I think he has what it takes to win it all.  Bob is featured prominently in the music found on the Commissioner's Desk Podcast.  You can check out that music here.

Backroom Division Record:  26-17

Commissioner's Note:  One of two enigmas in the Champion's Division.  Billy is even more perplexing.  He hasn't won any championships and has a losing record in both of the divisions he has been involved in.  Yet here he is.  Perhaps it's his actual size and strength the prevent him from dropping down into the lower divisions.

Backroom Division Record:  19-28

Commissioner's Note:  Joe held the moniker of Backroom Ambassador since it's first season in 2018.  New to fantasy football, he became obsessed.  He mastered his craft and got better every season.  In 2025 he made his way to the Champion's Division after winning the Backroom Championship.  He gained a title but lost his moniker when he moved up.  He still longs for the Backroom Division chat, but is excited to test himself in the Champion's Division.

2024 Backroom Champion

Commissioner's Note:  Big Mo, as he's affectionally known to anyone who grew up in East Fairhaven, entered the league in 2022 as an inaugural member of the Bush League Division.  Mo proved he had fantasy savvy and maybe a lot of luck when he won the Bush League title that year in controversial fashion.  He has since proved that it isn't all luck, moving up to the Backroom then Champion's Division in just a few years.
