Sway did the unthinkable in his rookie season in the league. He took over the moniker of MattSobral Is A Cuck and not only finished the regular season in 1st, but rolled through the playoffs and into the finals where he defeated the actual Matt Sobral to become the Blacksheep Champion. Did Sway peak in 2023 or can he become the first 2time champion in the division?
BlackSheep Division Record: 13-3
2023 Champion
Matt joined the league in 2016 with his rival, Manager Jerome Penha. He then went on an impressive playoff streak, to include his 2018 championship. That streak came to an end in 2020 when he failed to make the playoffs for the first time. To add insult to injury, his rival won the championship while he watched from the sidelines. In 2021 Sobral finished the regular season in 1st, while his rival finished in last. Hopefully that was enough for Sobral, because he was unable to make it to the final. In 2022 he became he spokesman for www.BentCarrot.com and finished the season in 4th. In 2023 he lost in the finals to a new manager with a great team name.
BlackSheep Division Record: 66-46
2018 Champion
Rival: Manager Jerome Penha
Dillon's rookie draft seemed to be off to a rocky start when Zack Viera announced his team name. It was the very name Andrew planned on using. With that fire and a homer strategy, Dillon went on to draft any Dallas Cowboy who ever existed. The move paid off when CeeDee Lamb erupted in time for fantasy playoffs. This launched Dillon into a 3rd place finish. We will see next year if he implements that same strategy.
BlackSheep Division Record: 10-6
Alex joined the league in 2015 for the first season of the BlackSheep Division. After an awful 2015 finishing 4-10, Alex rebounded to win the title the very next year. Alex didn't see the playoffs again until 2019 where his Stars + Stripes were eliminated in the semi-finals. He had another strong showing again in 2020 with a 3rd place finish and a playoff run in 2021, 2022, and 2023. He seems to have found the correct formula to give himself an opportunity to win annually.
BlackSheep Division Record: 65-62
2016 Champion
TCT Champion's Division Record: 8-5
Alex was the last of the rookies to enter the division in 2023. Like the other 2, he opened strong with a playoff appearance. He looks to better those guys and the rest of the division in 2024.
BlackSheep Division Record: 9-7
Steve joined the league in 2015 as a manager in the BlackSheep Division. Steve has become known for his hit or miss style of play. For every successful season he's had, he's followed it up with a 10th place season. From worst to first, Gwozdz was able to right the ship and push the Polish-Hammer into the finals, winning his first title in 2021. In 2022 Polish-Hammer could not replicate the success of the prior season and ended the year with 6th place. Steve seems to have found his footing in the division finishing right in the middle of the pack.
BlackSheep Division Record: 54-72
2021 Champion
Jerome joined the league in 2016. He enjoyed instant success in his first 3 seasons finishing 2nd, 2nd, and 4th. He took a tumble in 2019 failing to make the playoffs for the first time. In 2020 he rebounded to take home the belt. In 2021, Jerome had a brutal season. He finished the year in last place with the most points in the league. Did The Equalizer* rebound from that awful season? No. Not at all. He repeated as Toilet Bowl Champion. After back to back awful seasons, he can only move up from here right? Wrong again. After finishing the season bottom of the pack in 2023, he was able to salvage his season in the playoffs. Pride don't pay bills though. He needs a big 2024.
BlackSheep Division Record: 57-56
2020 Champion
Rival: Manager Matt Sobral
Ryan entered the TCT in 2022 as the newest addition to the Blacksheep Division. A fantastic rookie campaign, he led his team to the playoffs. I Got Bouv'd was eliminated in the first round, but not after Ryan proved he belonged in the division. His next season was not as successful as his first. He finished the regular season dead last. He can only improve in 2024.
BlackSheep Division Record: 15-18
One of the first managers of the BlackSheep Division, Mike is a seasoned fantasy football veteran and always a contender for a top spot in the division. He was able to take his team to the promised land in 2017 when he won the BlackSheep Division title. Since then, he has been unable to repeat that success. He hoped to turn things around after a disappointing 2020 campaign, but found himself finishing the season in last place. Is it time to retire? Middle Finger fell just short of becoming the first 2 time Black Sheep Champion, losing in the final to Danny Dorgan in 2022. The next season was a rebuild year. This year he looks to take the title back.
BlackSheep Division Record: 66-61
2017 Champion
Bob joined the league in 2016 as a manager in the BlackSheep Division. He showed up his first year in, finishing 3rd, then repeating another 3rd place finish the next year. He pushed into the final the following year, but fell short, taking 2nd place in 2018. In 2019 he was bounced from the quarter-finals. He missed the playoffs for the first time in 2020 and has not been back. Can he turn it around in 2024?
BlackSheep Division Record: 53-59
Zach had one of the strongest showings for a rookie in the league. After making it to the playoffs, he was named the 2021 Rookie of the Year. Zach could not replicate that success in 2022, just missing the playoffs. Since then, he's had a tough go at it. Some say he peaked and fizzled out already. Can he prove the haters wrong?
